The Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA) cordially invites you to  participate in Professor Kok-Leong Ong’s webinar, titled “Generative AI”.

Introduction:

Generative AI is gaining significant momentum particularly with task or context tuned Large Language Models (LLM). These models present significant breakthrough and paradigm shift for many enterprise around the world, with impact in Asia gaining a lot of interest among enterprises. In this presentation, Professor Ong will share what is Generative AI, the contextual issues to consider in integrating Generative AI/LLM solutions within business workflows, such as safe guards, legislative requirements (e.g., in Australia), implementing transparencies and fairness. The presentation will also showcase how Generative AI is not just in the realm of large enterprises but also how it is transforming sole proprietors and small-medium enterprises.

About the Speaker-

Kok-Leong Ong is currently Professor of Business AI & Analytics at RMIT University. His research focuses on analytics and machine learning translation into practice within different business verticals, and the development of new techniques as required to meet individual business needs. As a result, Kok-Leong's research has had a strong focus on impact, with many of his works ranked by Altmetric to be in the top 25% and 5% of research in their respective domains. Since joining RMIT University in 2021, he has founded the Enterprise AI and Data Analytics Hub which quickly went on to secure over $1.3m in research grants on various projects in e-Commerce, aged care, cybersecurity and other sectors. The Hub went on to become a key College research focus and a member of the new RMIT Digital3 initiative. In 2021, Kok-Leong was one of the four Australia-based academics to be named Leading Data Academics by CDO Magazine, an online publication that grew out of MIT's annual CDO and Information Quality Symposium.
