The Australian Chinese Alumni Association (ACAA), in partnership with CHE Wellbeing counselling service, successfully hosted an innovative psychodrama workshop in Melbourne. The event provided participants with a unique therapeutic experience through dramatic expression and psychological exploration.

The workshop was expertly facilitated by professional counsellors from CHE Wellbeing, who guided participants through a carefully structured programme combining theatrical elements with psychological exploration. The interactive format allowed participants to explore their inner worlds and interpersonal relationships in a safe, supportive environment.

During the Workshop, the session focused on several therapeutic approaches:
- Creative script development and character exploration
- Guided role-playing that encouraged emotional expression
- Professional psychological guidance and reflection
- Interactive group activities promoting personal growth

The workshop's theme, "Life is like a play, just be yourself," encouraged participants to become the protagonists of their own stories, helping them address personal challenges through creative expression.

Community Support and Sponsorship
The event received strong support from various alumni entrepreneurs across different universities:
- The founder of Niku Shiki (RMIT alumnus) provided premium Japanese dining vouchers
- Lucky Visa's founder (UNSW alumnus) contributed immigration consultation services
- Infinite Coaching's founder (University of Melbourne alumnus) offered career planning sessions
Impact and Outcomes
Participants reported significant benefits from the workshop, particularly in emotional awareness and interpersonal understanding, while strengthening connections within the alumni community. The success of this innovative event demonstrates ACAA's commitment to providing unique experiences that support members' personal and professional development, with plans to explore similar formats for future events.
