A private luncheon was recently hosted by H.E. Scott Dewar, Australian Ambassador to China, at his official residence in Beijing, bringing together several recipients of the 16th Australia China Alumni Awards, presented by the Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA).
The event served as a meaningful recognition of the awardees’ outstanding achievements and highlighted the Australian Government’s continued commitment to strengthening people-to-people tie — particularly in education and the development of global talent between Australia and China.
The luncheon provided a warm setting for open dialogue, where guests and the Ambassador reflected on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s recent visit to China and exchanged perspectives on the positive trajectory of bilateral relations.
For the alumni, the occasion marked not only a continuation of recognition, but also a moment of reflection — connecting their personal journeys with broader national narratives. From arriving in Australia as international students to now playing active roles in advancing Australia–China engagement, each attendee contributes uniquely to a shared story across borders.
The Australia China Alumni Association remains dedicated to fostering connections between alumni across both nations, encouraging both cultural and professional exchange. We extend our sincere thanks to the Australian Embassy in China for its ongoing support of the ACAA alumni community, and to each alumnus for their contributions to mutual understanding and collaboration.
We look forward to more meaningful engagements ahead, and to continuing to celebrate alumni who are shaping the future of cross-cultural exchange.
