Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical

About the position
Position with R&D – Devices (Dongguan). Project life-cycle management and technical input of design and evaluation on device development. Responsible for execution, documentation, change control and review for assigned projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Communication with internal and external stockholders to drive activities for NPD and EPD device projects.
To ensure the product design meets the business desire.
To specify and aligned test protocols with team, conduct product evaluation, and control plans to meet quality targets for mass production.
Creation of component and BoM specifications on documentation system according to business requirement.
To live the company’s core values.
Generate and protect technical invention with patenting whenever possible.
Work out manufacturing plan to ensure supply met for the business need.
Participate audit process to new suppliers.
The key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
An understanding of packaging / device technologies.
An appreciation of injection moulding and assembly / manufacturing technologies.
Relevant experience in device manufacture and assembly in a manufacturing environment.
Experience of specification creation of design & manufacturing documentation including layer BoM, process/assembly flow charts, WI, QCP. Use of a database system.
Basic understanding of quality tools including AQL’s, CPK analysis and SPC.
Experience in supplier audit process and being able to recommend good manufacturing practice.
Work out manufacturing plan to ensure supply met for the business need.
Advanced MS Project skill and intermediate PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook skill.
Experience in using CAD software such as ProE, Solid Works, PSpice, MatLab, MiniTab etc.
