Restaurant Event Coordinator

About the Role:

Platinum Group is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Restaurant Event Coordinator to manage group bookings, private events, and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Respond to restaurant phone calls, please note restaurant calls will be diverted to a work phone for the 5 working days per week. We will provide a company laptop for you to work from also.

Respond to reservation and event email inquiries within a 24–48 hour timeframe.

Manage day-to-day reservations, group bookings, and event scheduling.

Liaise with Management and Head Chef to coordinate all event and function requirements.

Host and oversee events/functions to ensure smooth execution and excellent customer service.

Proactively manage promotions and marketing campaigns to boost event and group sales.

Upsell menus, beverage packages, and premium experiences for group bookings.

Support internal marketing teams with social media, EDM's and overall marketing campaigns. Depending on experience these tasks can be handled by the candidate which would also include graphic design on Canva or Adobe.

Job Requirements:

Exceptional time management, organisational, and planning abilities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Confident in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and guest relations.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospitality environment.

Availability to work peak service periods, including Fridays and Saturdays.

Salary Offer: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + super (depending on experience)

Working Days:

We require the candidate to work 5 days full time (40 hours with the possibility to extend to 42 occasionally). This would include weekends (specifically Saturdays) as this is the peak times for restaurants in the city. We are flexible with working hours as long as you are there when it's the busy times to support the management onsite.
