Event Manager

Key responsibilities:


  • Plan and organize events such as business seminars, conferences, networking events and gala dinners

  • Develop event concepts, themes, and budgets in collaboration with the rest of the AustCham team

  • Work with event suppliers such as venues, catering, and audio-visual companies to ensure smooth event operatios

  • Develop event marketing and communication plans to promote events to members and stakeholders

  • Manage event registration and ticket sales through online platforms

  • Provide on-site event coordination to ensure seamless execution

  • Manage event budgets, expenses, and invoicing

Essential qualities:


  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Advantageous qualities:

  • Degree in business, hospitality, marketing, media or related fields

  • Experience in event management

  • Graphic design skills

  • Knowledge of media production
