China Project Officer/Senior China Project Officer based in Guangzhou

Location: CBBC Guangzhou

Hours of Work: 40 per week

Salary Range: Monthly salary of RMB 10,000 to 15,000 depends on experiences

Reports To: Director of China Development (based at CBBC Guangzhou)


STATEMENT OF JOB PURPOSE:

The China Project Officer/Senior China Project Officer will support Director of China Development (based at CBBC Guangzhou) and International Partnership Manager (based in Edinburgh) in implementing Edinburgh Napier University’s International Recruitment and Partnership Strategy in China.


MAIN DUTIES:

  • To support the Director of China Development and International Partnership Manager in the delivery of the University’s International Recruitment and Partnership Strategy in China to generate enquiries, leads, applications and subsequent enrolments for the University’s courses

  • To assist with the maintaining of existing Chinese partnerships including liaising with key contacts important to the recruitment process such as counselors, section chiefs, key academics and senior leaders at International Office, International College or relevant academic schools at Chinese partners

  • To assist with the planning, organizing and delivery of the promotional activities at Chinese partners, including liaising with university partners, organizing visits, delivering presentations, advising students on the ENU portfolio, entry requirements

  • To lead the students application and admissions process and procedure, including providing guidance on necessary payments for English pre-sessional programmes, deposits and tuition fees

  • To lead the students visa process and procedure

  • To support with agent relationship management including liaising with key contacts at agent partners; and planning, organizing and delivering promotional activities in conjunction with agents, including agent visits, counselor trainings, agent fairs and other activities

  • To undertake administrative support for promotional events including organizing logistics, itineraries, travel and accommodation, brochures and leaflets, gifts and merchandises, expenses/advances etc.

  • To answer enquiries related to China Operations including enquiries from the China inbox, Wechat, QQ inbox and social media sites

  • To lead the development and implementation of the University’s Chinese social media strategy

  • To manage the University’s Chinese website including posting news items and updating content

  • To lead the design and the production of an annual prospectus and a China summer school leaflet in Chinese Mandarin

  • To monitor and report application and conversion trends against the pre-agreed targets

  • To lead the conversion activities in conjunction with partners and agents including pre-departure briefings, visa and immigration guidance, accommodation and flight booking advice and arrival guidance

  • To support the China Summer School project including generating leads, counseling students, liaising closely with the EAP team, assist with flights booking and visa applications

  • To lead the commission and management fee claims for agents and partners

  • To establish and maintain strong relationships with key influencers to the recruitment process including colleges, universities, agents, funding bodies, British Council, CBBC and ENU alumni

  • To manage the University’s alumni social media groups and to support alumni events and activities

  • To undertake specific project work when required by the Director of China Development and International Partnership Manager
