​Leah Yeak

Leah Yeak is the First Secretary (Political) at the Australian Embassy in Beijing. A career diplomat, Leah has previously served in the Australian Consulate General in Hong Kong and the Australian Embassy in Washington DC. In Canberra, she worked in a variety of roles at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade including in Southeast Asia strategic policy and APEC. Prior to joining government, she worked in banking and finance.

Leah Yeak 是澳大利亚驻北京大使馆的政治事务一等秘书。作为一名职业外交官,Leah 曾在澳大利亚驻香港总领事馆和驻华盛顿大使馆任职。在堪培拉,她曾在澳大利亚外交与贸易部担任多个职位,包括东南亚战略政策和亚太经合组织(APEC)相关工作。在加入政府部门之前,她曾在银行和金融领域工作。

David Goodman

Prof David S G Goodman is Director of the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. 2017-2021 he was Vice President Academic Affairs at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou; and 2004-2008 he was Deputy Vice Chancellor for International Affairs at UTS. The Jiangsu provincial Government recognized Prof Goodman with a Friendship Award in 2014; and the Suzhou city government appointed him as a friend of Suzhou in 2019.

Luke Sheehy

Mr Luke Sheehy commenced as the CEO of Universities Australia in February 2024. He is a highly skilled leader with more than 20 years’ experience shaping the agenda of higher education.

Prior to UA, Mr Sheehy led the Australian Technology Network of Universities for almost five years. He has also held key education roles in government, worked as an education and strategy consultant for the Asian Development Bank and held senior management roles at Swinburne University.

As the first member of his family to graduate from university, Mr Sheehy knows first-hand the power of education to transform lives and is driven to ensure that opportunity is provided to as many people as possible.

Luke Sheehy于2024年2月开始担任澳大利亚大学联盟 Universities Australia (UA)首席执行官。他是一位经验丰富的领导者,拥有超过20年的高等教育领域经验,致力于推动教育产业的发展。

Peter Osborne

Peter Osborne is a seasoned leader and board director with a unique blend of executive commercial and diplomatic experience in Asia, especially China. He is renowned for his market entry expertise, team building, and driving substantial sales and profit growth. Notably, he won the 2023 Australia China Alumni Award for Major Corporate Achievement.

Since early 2020, Peter has advised over 50 companies worldwide on their Asia market strategies. Previously, as Managing Director Asia at Blackmores (2009–2020), he oversaw a A$300 million operation, expanding the business from 5 to 14 markets and significantly increasing revenue and profits.

With 23 years as Australia’s Senior Trade Commissioner in Asia, he has excelled in developing successful market entry and promotional strategies. Additionally, he holds prestigious roles such as a special research fellow at Tsinghua University and is the first foreign Vice-Chairman of the China Association for Quality Inspection, while serving in multiple board and advisory positions globally.

Stephanie Hunter

 

As the Manager of Global Relations at Study Queensland, Stephanie overseas the activities of TIQ’s vast global network of international education, training and research development managers located in TIQ offices worldwide. 

Stephanie has more than two decades of experience working in the Australian higher education sector, initially in marketing and business development positions before moving into high level executive management support roles at James Cook University.  From 2014 to 2021, Stephanie was the Executive Officer to the Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at James Cook University.

Stephanie has extensive experience in relationship management and developing collaborative partnerships, across teaching and learning and research, with other educational institutions, as well as business and government agencies.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma of Professional Communication and a Master of Business Administration.

Stephanie 是昆士兰学习组织全球关系部的代理经理,负责管理昆士兰学习组织庞大的全球国际教育、培训和研究发展经理网络的活动,这些经理分布在昆士兰学习组织遍布世界各地的办事处。

Alan Cui

Alan Cui is a Managing Partner at Boson Ventures, focusing on early-stage technology investments and innovation exchange between Australia and China. Previously, as a senior business strategist, he increased an Australian company's net profit from AU$17 million to AU$100 million, and earlier founded and successfully exited a hardware-software startup.

 

Active in strategic consulting across both Australia and China, he has worked with Partners in Performance and Accenture Strategy. As a startup mentor for CSIRO, the University of Melbourne, and UNSW, he has long been committed to technology commercialisation and talent development in Australia.

 

Alan is a recipient of the Australian Government's William Ah Ket Leadership Programme, founding president of Southbank Lions Club, and was awarded the "Australia-China Distinguished Alumnus Award" by ACAA in 2023.

 

With an MBA from Melbourne Business School and Master of Computer Science and Bachelor of Physics degrees from Nanjing University, he will share cross-national, cross-industry career insights as an investment specialist with a strong STEM background.
