The Inaugural University Roundtable Dialogue

The inaugural ACAAEC industry round table event was held on August 30. The event, attended by fifteen international education professionals, represented three countries (Australia, UK and the USA) and eleven universities. The group was also lucky to have present visiting professional Eva Chye, from the University of Western Australia, as well as Lei XiaoFeng from Australian Education International, Beijing. The round table allowed for open and free communications between all participants. This manner of discussion led to some valuable insights and workable suggestions for all those attending, including Australian government representatives. ACAAEC Meets for Austrade Briefing and Online Promotion Briefing

ACAA's 3rd Education Committee meeting was held at the Australian embassy in Beijing on 16th December 2011. The main theme of this event was to provide the in-country representatives of Australian Education institutions with an opportunity to directly engage in discussions with top Austrade education officials on Austrade’s recent efforts in promoting Australian International education in China.

In addition, presentations were delivered by two guest speakers from Youku and SINA - both leaders in the Chinese online microblog and video sharing industry. They both highlighted how overseas education organizations can best untilise online media’s development in the Chinese marketplace.

The event was well-received and was described by some as the most interactive and informative industry learning & sharing session they had been to.
