  Structure

The ACAA's head office is located in Beijing and plans are in place to open Regional Branches in Shanghai and South China from 2008. The ACAA will also provide administrative support and services to assist with the development of individual University Alumni Chapters in each city or region.

The ACAA will be governed by a Steering Committee and a Constitution. Day to day operations will be managed by a combination of full-time and part-time staff and volunteers.

An Events Committee will be responsible for managing the forward program of events.

 
Steering Committee

A Steering Committee has been formed to guide the ACAA and to provide direction, governance, links to key stakeholders, accountability and supervision. The Steering Committee is comprised of representatives from DEEWR/AEI, funding partner Universities, other relevant organizations as well as Alumni.

The Steering Committee meets on a quarterly basis, and positions will rotate annually to allow participation and input from a wide cross-section of Universities, government agencies and alumni.

The ACAA is calling for nominations from individual alumni interested in holding a Steering Committee position for 2008. Alumni will be expected to make a commitment to regularly attend events and meetings and to make a meaningful contribution to the growth of the ACAA. To register your interest, Contact Us

Events Committee

We have formed an Events Committee to develop and manage a program of alumni events in Beijing, and are presently forming a volunteer Events Committee in Shanghai.  We plan to form a similar Committee in Southern China later in 2008 or early 2009. The Events Committees will schedule and attend regular planning meetings, and co-ordinate monthly events for their city/ region.

Alumni volunteers with events management, design, IT or other relevant skills and experience are currently being sought. To register your interest, please Contact Us

Constitution
The ACAA is governed by its Constitution, under the Australian Corporations Act 2001. A copy of the 32-page constitution is available to members upon request.
